A patient puzzle maker is making the world's largest hand-cut wooden jigsaw puzzle -- using an astonishing 40,000 pieces. Dave Evans, 63, is soon to land himself into the Guinness World Record book after spending 200 hours creating the puzzle, which honours the Queen and her Diamond Jubilee last year. The masterpiece, when finished, will be put on display in the ballroom at the Queen's Sandringham Palace Estate, alongside some of the 100,000 cards that were sent to her to commemorate the jubilee. Mr Evans, from Weymouth, Dorset, who has been cutting jigsaws for 35 years, said: I always liked doing puzzles but when I left school I wanted to become a pilot.
